All yoga mats and props are provided; however if you would like to bring your own mat, please do so.
Wear clothing that does not pinch at the joints or constrain movement. Close fitting, stretchy fabrics make it easier for the instructor to check body alignment, but loose fitting clothing such as T-shirts and gym shorts or sweats is fine.
Refrain from eating a large meal 3-4 hours prior to class. If you feel low on energy before arriving at class, eat something light and sustaining.
Arrive to class a few minutes early to allow yourself time to settle in.
Please do not wear heavy perfumes or scents in class.
Plan to stay for the entire class.
If you are currently working with any chronic physical conditions, illnesses, or injuries, we encourage you to contact the instructor prior to attending the class or arrive early and speak to the teacher before class begins. (Contact information for teachers can be found under Teacher Biographies.) In this way, the instructor will be able to help you get your needs met and enhance the benefits you receive from your practice.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the instructor. Yoga practice is meant to guide you into a more direct and intimate relationship with your own experience. The instructor is there to support and guide you in the practice and act as a resource for you on your journey.
